Marilyn
Marilyn Veterinary Assistant / Customer Care Representative

Marilyn brings genuine warmth and experience to the Queensway Veterinary Hospital team. Originally from British Columbia, she moved to Ontario and lived in Niagara Falls before graduating from the Veterinary Assistant program at St. Lawrence College. She started her career in shelter medicine, then spent several years at the Niagara Veterinary Emergency Clinic, where she gained valuable hands-on experience in emergency and critical care. She eventually settled in Norfolk County and is happy to be part of the close-knit local community while doing work she loves.

Marilyn chose the veterinary field because of her deep love for animals and her desire to make a meaningful difference in their lives. She enjoys combining compassion with problem-solving and hands-on patient care while supporting the people who love them. One of the most rewarding parts of her role is building relationships with both patients and their families, and being part of a team that delivers compassionate, high-quality care in a welcoming environment.

At home, Marilyn shares life with Mishka, her 15-year-old English Bull Terrier, and a large fish tank full of fish (she has a soft spot for loaches). When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll usually find her outdoors exploring nature, fishing, working on creative projects, or catching a well-earned nap. She loves learning new skills and is always ready for an adventure, or a good snooze.
