Veterinarian getting a blood sample from a dog

Blood Tests for Dogs

At Queensway Veterinary Hospital, we use modern lab equipment, both in-hospital and at our reference lab. Our veterinarians and veterinary technicians keep up to date with training and brand-new technology, which will also help to provide the most accurate results for our patients and their families.

Why is it important to perform blood tests for dogs?

Routine blood testing is important to ensure your dog’s best health. Early detection of organ failure using blood test results can help the vets at Queensway treat before symptoms occur with a higher success rate.

How do I interpret my dog’s blood test results?

Your veterinarian at Queensway will be able to assist you with understanding all blood test results by thoroughly going over each result and helping you understand their function in your pet’s body. Additional information can also be sent home with you for further understanding.
