Cat X-ray and Ultrasound

Queensway uses up to date digital x-ray imaging to allow clear images for diagnostics for the veterinarian. Digital x-ray also allows for speedy delivery for referral. Queensway also offers in-house ultrasound for the client’s convenience.

What is the difference between a cat X-ray and a cat ultrasound?

X-ray is used to see a basic image of the inside of your cat. Air, fluid, bone, metal and major masses can be seen. Ultrasound is great for an in-depth image of the major organs. Veterinarians use these images to assess organ function and potentially find cancers. Ultrasound would not be used for bone images.

Does the clinic also do feline dental X-rays?

Unfortunately, at this time Queensway does not offer dental x-rays. However, referral to a dental specialist is always available.
